Description

Experienced instructors bring a wealth of knowledge to karateka from age 5 to 50+. Chief Instructor Sensei Tony Hails 8th Dan brings 40 years of Ishinryu to the dojo. Established in the Sutherland Shire in 1984, we are located in the Menai Indoor Sports Centre. We have specific class for kids, tweens/teens/adults and families. We teach the serious aspiring Olympic competitor and the students after increased fitness, discipline and self defence skills.

Our three senior instructors are internationally experienced competitors, coaches and/or referees and hold silver or bronze coaching accreditation via the Australian Sports Commission. We are accredited with the Australian and World Karate Federations (the only karate federation recognised by the IOC).

We train during school terms at the Menai Indoor Sports Centre and you can have a free class at any time during the term. Email or call for further details.

2023 launch of karate and competition classes

We return to karate training at the Menai Indoor Sports Centre on 28 January 2023.

This will also be the launch of our dedicated competition squad class, 8.30am every Saturday (apart from competition days).

This class shall be hosted by one of our experienced competition coaches, fighters and/or referees. We have world level coaches, referees and (former) athletes within our club ready to explore techniques, tactics and rules with committed students of any age, grade and experience.
