Craig Soley
Physiotherapist and Strength Coach (ASCA, CFSC) - expert in athletic development and injury prevention

He is a registered Physiotherapist and ASCA-accredited strength and conditioning coach, with a Graduate Certificate of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy and a commitment to ongoing continuing education both in strength & conditioning and physiotherapy. Alongside the regulars at his PhysioFit studio, his clients include West Perth Football Club (2014 Reserves Premiers, 2013 League Premiers), National Training Centre U19’s, corporate groups and elite athletes.

Craig founded PhysioFit in 1996, combining the smarts of physiotherapy with the strength of functional movement training. Years as a world-champion athlete and a distinguished career as a detective in the WA Police Force give Craig a unique perspective on his physiotherapy qualifications. His approach addresses the real-world demands we make on our bodies and has applications from fitness training and rehabilitation, to workplace safety and injury prevention.

In 2013 Craig began his role as Head of Strength and Conditioning with West Perth Football Club. He helped steer both the league and reserve teams to the Grand Finals, securing their first league premiership win in a decade. Prior to his appointment with West Perth, Craig worked with Subiaco FC as Physiotherapist and Functional Strength Coach, helping guide the team to three Grand Finals and two premierships.

Craig was also a Senior Physio with Medibank Health Solutions (MHS) from Feb 2010 to Aug 2012, where he was appointed as the first onsite Physiotherapist on the Barrow Island Gorgon Project. He introduced Functional Movement Screening to MHS and was responsible for the redevelopment of their Pre-Employment Functional Assessment training and procedure Australia-wide. Further to his work with MHS, Craig was contracted independently to assist Chevron in developing their Warm-Up and Sprains and Strains Assessment Handbooks. Che
